Week 3: January 15 - 22, 2011

First of all, let me just start by saying " I LOOOOOOVE PROJECT LIFE".  It has lifted so much of my scrapbooking burden that I am seriously thinking of tossing out my list and just ordering more copies of PL to finish up my family albums for the last 3 years.

Anyhoo-here is our third week :-)

We had a FULL day...first, we celebrated with friends as their adoption of their two beautiful kiddos was finalized this week!!  Hooray!  AJ....our cautious kid....took about 45 mins to warm up to the bouncy house.  It included me climbing in and sliding down too.  But, after a while, he summoned the courage and started to do it himself!
I was SO proud of him!!

Later on that night, we took the kids to the park and this was the view as the sun was setting.  SO BEAUTIFUL.

Enjoying our fire pit.  Would you believe these kids HATE hot dogs?!  AND Smores?!
Little weirdos.

See that BIG bruise?!  AJ's first big egg on his forehead.  He thought he could build a bridge with a pillow from our couch to the coffee table....um, ya...not so much little buddy :-)

Sweet and Sour chicken....it's one of my goals this year to FOCUS on food for my family....I am trying one new recipe a week and this was it.  All 3 boys liked it!

Totally unflattering photo alert.....So, I never thought I would see the day where I would dye my hair from a box.  A slave to the salon, I have always LOVED getting my hair done.  But now that we are busting our butts to get out of debt (a la Dave Ramsey plan), I couldn't really justify the $150 bill for a few highlights.  Soooo...Garnier Nutrisse #50 Cool Tea saved the day.  Gone are my bad blond ends, stray grays and everything is back to pretty much my original colour....which I haven't seen since 2002.

AJ is a helper.   He LOVES to help in the kitchen...we were making spaghetti and garlic bread.  He mixed the garlic butter and did all of the spreading!  I'm glad that Grandma and "Ratatouille" have rubbed off, cause he sure doesn't get it from me!

Oh for the love....I turn my back for 5 secs....FIVE SECONDS to put a colander away and this is where I find JT.  He was so proud of himself and just had this look of "What?  You mean I'm NOT supposed to be in here??"  Love him :-)  And check out those chunkamonka legs.  I just wanna squish him.  Now that he's walking, I know those legs will quickly disappear and I'm going to miss them when they're gone!

So, that's our week.  I absolutely LOVE capturing our every day moments.  I can't help but think how awesome it will be to look back on this.  It's already been fun to look back at the last couple of weeks with AJ. He's LOVING all of the photos and telling me all about them.

ALSO....Becky Higgins announced yesterday that Amazon got a new shipment of Project Life...HOORAY!!!  They are BACK IN STOCK!!!  So, now....run....order a couple.  You will be SO happy you did!!

Turquoise Edition    I am personally using this edition!
