Week 4: January 22-28, 2011

I've gotten several questions from people I know who want to know WHY ON EARTH I would want to take a photo a day.  They look at me like I'm a little bit nuts, and legitimately have NO idea what my purpose is.  Even after some explanation, some people are still unsure of what the point is.  I find myself looking at them with the exact same questioning look and asking myself "WHY ON EARTH WOULDN'T YOU?"

I tried to describe it today as simply finding the every day joy in my life and documenting that for my family.  I got a little defensive when I felt like they were questioning my judgement and quickly turned the conversation back on them when I asked "What?  Don't you have moments of every day joy?"  THAT shut them up made them think a little.

This is exactly what I LOVE about Project Life.  I'm so excited that two of my friends have ordered and are anxiously awaiting their kits.  I can't wait to see the Amber edition.

I had more than 7 photos I wanted in our album this week.  I added an American Crafts 6 X 12 page and popped in 5 more photos along with an extra journaling block.  LOVE how it turned out.

Here are some of our joyful moments from this week:

The boys and I took a road-trip to Tucson to celebrate our friend's new baby girl!  She was born about a month ago and they had her baby shower this past weekend.  The boys loved playing with Lily (who, yes, does have a face :-) but I didn't ask to post her photo online, so I'm shading her out on purpose) and I loved hanging out with my friend Kassandra.  Hopefully we'll be able to see them a little more often now that the new baby is here and I'm more comfortable traveling with our boys alone.

Now don't you all go calling CPS on me...this kid voluntarily hangs out in Molly's cage.
Cute? Yep!  Funny?  Yep!  Gross as HECK?  You bet!!
This is life with boys.....embracing the joy :-)

No photo today.  Mondays are CRAZY days for me and I honestly didn't think about it.  Did I stress?  Nah.  I'm letting that go...Besides, as I was filling out my journalling card for Sunday, AJ came up and grabbed the one for today and drew me a picture of a snake and a bicycle.  I popped that on a piece of patterned paper and called Monday DONE and DONE.  Here is the image of our weekly spread instead!

The kids have a nanny on the days I go into work.  She is AWESOME.  We LOVE her.  Here are AJ and "Nece" in the fort they built while JT was napping.

This kid cracks me up.  He was using his "spycopes" to help watch for crocodiles.  And then, rather than dry his hands with the dryer, he had to dry his hair.  Hair is way more fun than hands!

This little boy has stolen my heart.  He is just about the most precious thing ever.  It still kills me to see him climbing up and walking about.  Today, he wandered outside and sat on the bench for quite a while.  He played with his truck and enjoyed some peace and quiet.
So. Stinkin'. Adorable.

Just call me Cinderella....I don't usually get on my hands and knees to scrub the floor, but it was particularly disgusting, I couldn't find my mop head and the boys needed something to do.  AJ was armed with a spray bottle and JT with a cloth.  We had that floor sparkling.....until JT later discovered that crayons do in fact draw on more than just paper.  Sigh.

----
So, after I put together our pages, I had more cute photos of the boys and I really felt like I was a little AJ heavy this week.  I wanted to be sure to include more of JT.  Here are the photos I included on the extra page.

My yummy breakfast :-)

JT's "artwork"....thankful for washable crayola :-)

JT doing what JT does best.....EAT.

AJ wearing his toque to keep his head warm....cause you know it's kind of chilly at 65F.
Seriously, these kids need to get to Canada FAST.

Long post...hope you enjoyed our little bit of life this week!
