Week 8: February 19-25, 2011

This week has had most of us sick, sick and SICK.  We started Saturday off with a trip to the Urgent Care for AJ.  An ear infection came on quickly....we had been out shopping in the morning and he was perfectly fine...3 hours later, he was screaming bloody murder and I took him in.  I'm glad I did because the drops they gave him, along with antibiotics provided instant relief to the poor little guy.

I started getting stuffy on Friday, spent almost all day Saturday in bed and am still grappling a cough and runny nose. Last night, JT was stuffy and Jim has a scratchy throat.

Not. Cool.

We had a great week though!  So many great activities.

Little kids live here. Little kids like to eat granola bars with chocolate chips.  Little kids who are teething drool A LOT.  Drool + chocolate chips + 17 month old = a new pattern on our couch :-)

Even with a bad ear infection, this kiddo likes to be helpful.  Love, love, LOVE the swiffer vac.

The ear infection finally caught up with him and he fell asleep on the couch....it was great while it lasted, but we paid for it later on that night when he was still wide awake at 10:30pm.  No more naps for this little Bubs.

This is what a milk hangover looks like.  JT woke up, slammed down those two milk bottles and vegged on the couch for about an hour.  Love it.

My cute hubby is a smarty-pants.  He was asked to give a lecture at the Brophy Scientist Salon Series....he spoke about "Making room for the Creator in Science".  He is such an amazing teacher...I'm glad I have him at home to clarify all of my stupid questions that I didn't dare ask in front of everyone else!  It was awesome to watch him speak about something he truly is passionate about.
Love him :-)

I took the boys to a F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S. photographer....Kara Layne...who worked her magic with them.  It was a haul out there, but worth every minute.  Check out her website and some of the photos of the boys HERE

After our photo shoot... we hauled ourselves over to the other side of the world...seriously, like 65 miles West to pick up Uncle Dave.  He was on a super secret mission and was in town for one night :-)  We didn't get much time with him, but enough for AJ to wave, say hi, then fall asleep and JT got to hang out with him a for a few minutes before heading off to bed.  It was fun to see him!

Anyone who has spent any time with Jake knows that this kid LOVES...L.O.V.E.S. his food.  His little humming motor gets a goin' and he just keeps cramming it in.  It is messy and takes a while to fill him up.  I hope I remember these little moments....like his orange stained fingers, messy face, food in his hair, and disaster of an outfit.  Time is going by so quickly!

I am loving every minute with these boys....big and small :-)

I am nearly done my binders and my launch pad....pics to come on both of those challenges later on this week.

Happy Project Life Tuesday!

  1. Great shots...loved their pictures. Came out incredible!!

  2. Great pictures this week. Those boys are just adorable! My furniture looks just like that...fabric, glass, wood...all of it! I've just embraced the gunk!
