It's funny how life just seems to get in the way of my blogging...I seem to do better when I have a plan of posts.  I really don't know how professional bloggers do it...but I'm guessing the added $$ from consistent posts is a pretty good motivator!

Total change of subject

A huge pet peeve of mine is when people get on their "I'm SOOO busy" high it's a competition, or their lives are more "important" or "stressful"...because really, EVERYONE is busy...and most often, it's all about our choices and what we decide to take into our lives and add to our "project" list.   End. Rant.

So, while I've been busy and had few extra things added to my plate these past couple of weeks, it's been awesome and I wouldn't have it any other way!  I finally feel like I'm settling into the things that are really important in my life and focusing on the tasks, projects and people that really make my life a fulfilling one.

Since our return from our family vacation on PEI, we have been de-cluttering, organizing, prepping for the new school year, re-establishing our routine and Jacob and I made a 2nd trip back to Canada.

I could not love that place more. My University roommate, Allison, tied the knot last weekend.  Because Jake can still fly free, I brought him back with me.  I was a little nervous about traveling that looooong way alone, but he is a PRO and could not have done better.  He was so excited to be back at Grandma and Grandpa's and didn't miss me ONE. STINKIN'. BIT. as I jaunted off to Halifax for the weekend.

We got back last Wednesday and since then, it's been kind of like starting over from our last vacation.  Readjusting to the 4 hour time change is probably the most challenging...that and coming back to AZ when it is 113F bloody degrees.  Ugh.  Again....working on being grateful for the life we have here.

It's no secret that we'd love to move to Canada....unfortunately, the job the Hubs wants just isn't there.  Not living there is really something I struggle with every. single. day.  I am trying to trust in God, knowing that we have a purpose here and not just "stuck" here, as it sometimes feels.  I know He has a reason for keeping us here....I'm just not always sure what that is.

Anyways, clearly this is a rambly, ranty, misc. post....but it's what's on my mind right now.  I've actually got my posts lined up for this week and I really do hope to get back to regular blogging.  I'll have a couple of Guest Bloggers, some product promos, Project Life updates and some new crafty projects that I'm working on....kinda got addicted to Pinterest.... :-)

Here's a little photo from last week when we were flying kites on the beach on PEI.

  1. SO PRETTY! Now I want to go to the beach in Canada!!!!

  2. It was an awesome day at the beach. So glad you made it back for a little bit more of PEI and NS.
