Project Life Tuesday: January 2012

Fellow Project Lifers: Welcome to Almond Place!

Like many of you....I've been waiting for my PL supplies to come in...I luckily just got my notice that my plastics are on their way to me today and I should have my order by the end of the week.  In case you hadn't heard, even though the new shipment of Becky Higgins materials came in on Friday, they basically mostly sold out on Friday too.  Major bummer for those who waited on ordering.

Anyhow, here are my photos from January.  This year, I'm choosing to do a monthly layout instead of a photo-a-day approach.  I liked it last year, but found myself switching to monthly by the end of October.

When I get my plastics in, I'll share my layout, but here's what I've got so far for the album:

Who doesn't love rides in a hollow night stand?!

Santa brought Andrew a new bike to our new house in Phoenix...because we were traveling for Christmas, he didn't get it delivered until the beginning of January.  Of course, a new bike for Andrew meant Jake got to claim the little bike as his own.  They LOVE them!

When you just can't take it anymore, you've gotta fall asleep on the floor :-)

Cast Removal Day! Sadly, the kid liked having it so much that he still asks us to take him back
to get a new one!  Little weirdo.

Stupid speed limits.  My first ticket.  Bah Humbug to YOU Mr. Kansas Highway Patrol giving tickets at Xmas to people who drove 24 hours to get to your stupid turnpike and were JUST BARELY over the limit......

The boys learning from the master....

How can this boy be ready for school?  Andrew's first day of preschool. <tear>

Sprinklers in January?!?!  Well, sure!

Someone in Jim's family FINALLY got married and I get to give away my "favorite" piece of home decor that we received at our wedding.  As UGLY as this thing is, everyone since the 80s who has received it is still married....I think it's the kind of thing where if you don't annul your marriage after seeing this thing, you know you're in for the long haul :-)  It's a beauty and required several applications of super glue to get it back together...it's suffered a few breaks here and there over the past few years.

Hope you enjoyed our Project Life from January.  Have a GREAT week!

  2. Love the pic of falling asleep on the floor and BOO to tickets! There's only been one time I should've gotten one and it happened to be my birthday and the officer was nice enough to let it slide. I'm sorry yours was such a scrooge!

    1. I KNOW, right?!! It lived in our garage for the past 5 years in pieces in a box. I just think it's awesome that someone INITIALLY thought this would be a fantastic gift to give....can't remember which one of Jim's Uncles received it as a gift at his wedding....best part were the butterflies attached to the clock hands. It's a doozy all around :-)
