Summer Recipe: Bang Bang Cauliflower/Shrimp

One of my most favorite recipes that I've made is:  Bang Bang Cauliflower/Shrimp

It's SUPER simple and easily one of the BEST meals I've ever made.

Here's what you need:

Head of cauliflower broken into little florets
Uncooked shrimp
Corn starch in a bowl
Egg whites in another bowl
Panko break crumbs mixed with garlic powder, salt and pepper in a 3rd bowl
Coconut Oil for cooking

Dip your cauliflower and shrimp in corn starch, then the egg whites, then the bread crumb mix and start frying in the coconut oil.  Keep turning the pieces over until all sides are brown.

Serve immediately with the sauce:  1/2 cup mayo, 1TBSP of rice vinegar, Sriracha to spice it up...add as much or as little as that as you want ;-)

We couldn't stop saying how amazing it was....it was seriously restaurant quality and the Hubs said it was one of the BEST dinners I had ever made and this guy doesn't even LIKE cauliflower :-)

I served mine topped with a few chopped green onions and with edamame and rice....here's what ours looked like :-)

Now, go....run....get that head of cauliflower and start cooking-you're going to love it!

  1. Mandy, sounds yummy. Must try it. Did you really use coconut oil or just regular veg oil? Don't even know if I can get coconut oil here and if I can, it is probably very expensive. We can now get edamame, frozen.
Had some great meals in France and Prague. The duck legs were delicious. Dad had them and then I wished I had ordered them too. And the bottle of Chateau Neuf du Pape was the BEST!
