31 Days to a Peaceful Holiday Season: Christmas Decorations

Welcome back to Almond Place! This month, I'm doing a series as part of Write 31 Days and I'm focusing on planning a peaceful holiday season.  You can find all of the posts from my series HERE.

This weekend, I'm tackling a slightly bigger item on my to-do list. I'm pulling out all of our holiday decorations. I'm talking all of my fall stuff, and Christmas stuff. I want to evaluate everything we have, purge what we no longer use or don't absolutely love and make sure I have what I need.

We've already seen the huge Christmas displays at Target, and Costco and Hobby Lobby.  It can be easy to roam those aisles and toss random items into our carts. Believe me when I say it takes everything in my power to avoid doing this.  I LOVE Christmas decorations.

By assessing everything now, I can plan ahead and not be scrambling the night we set up our tree only to find out all of our lights are busted.

This whole process is going to take me about three days. I also went ahead and got our annual ornaments ordered from Lisa Leonard Designs and Amos Pewter. I can't wait to share those with you when they come in!

Hope you're having a lovely weekend!
