Summer Fun Fridays: a summer project

Last summer, I hosted a Summer Fun Friday post/linkup each Friday here at Almond Place.  I'm excited to get it launched here again and I hope you'll join me!

I have always wanted our kids to have a fun filled and relaxing summer, but didn't really know where to start.  It is very common where we live to fill your child's summer with camps.  I LOVE the idea of camp, but I was really looking for something that would help us truly connect again with our kids since they're school age now and off at school all day.

On Friday, May 15th, I'll be sharing my family's Summer Fun List.  This is where we write down all of the things we want to do this summer....we look at new things, and always include some of our tried and true activities like the Zoo.  The kids love making their lists and seeing our adventures get checked off.  Some of the activities are big, some small....some free, some cost us a moderate amount of $ and some cost a good chunk of cash.

We may or may not get to every single activity....the point is simply to not let our summer fly by disconnected.

Starting Friday, May 22nd, I'll be sharing some of our adventures/projects that week and I hope you'll link up with us!  There will be tons of inspiration for things to do if we all link up together!

Most of my sharing will be done on Instagram and you can join in the fun with #summerfunfriday

If you're like me, you may have some trouble coming up with things to do, my friend Keri from Living in this Season is publishing an ebook called "Why Survive When You Can Thrive: Tips for Thriving This Summer With Your Kids".  It is launching May 18th...I'll be sure to let you know when you can access the book!

Grab button and come back next Friday to link up your Summer Fun Friday Lists!!

I'm linking up: ABFOL
