Southern Rail & Thomas' Hometown Breakfast Battle

One of my favorite things about my kids being in school is that it's connected us with so many great people we might not have otherwise met.  Luckily for us, the school experience has connected us to several insanely talented and generous people and I thank my lucky stars our kids go to school where they do.

A few years ago, back in our preschool days, we met the Beckett's...who own Beckett's Table here in Phoenix.  If you've never been, you definitely need to check it out.  They have chocolate covered bacon. Chocolate covered BACON.  Order two and thank me later.

More recently, they launched a new restaurant called "Southern Rail" in an old abandoned, yet historic restaurant right in the heart of Central Phoenix.  Having seen "Beefeaters" close down and sit empty for several years, the concept of what's now "The Newton" is so refreshing.  An awesome restaurant, local book store "Changing Hands", local meeting space, and a gardener have all transformed this space into a place where we go often!

Justin, the Chef, was nominated to be in the Thomas' Hometown Breakfast Battle where he created the delicious "Farm to Table Bagel".   Just LOOK at this bagel:

You can learn more about this delicious bagel and Chef Justin by hopping over to the Thomas' Hometown Breakfast Battle voting page.  If you'd vote for Justin to help him advance in the competition, that would be LOVELY!

If you'd like more information on Beckett's Table or Southern Rail, you can check out their site....or better yet, if you're in Phoenix, just get out to one of their restaurants.  You won't regret it!!

P.S.  This post is not sponsored...I just love the Beckett's and believe so much in their commitment to their community.  I love supporting local businesses and hope you'll join me!
